Don Cornelius -die by himself

Don Cornelius has made it clear he does not want to die still married.

The "Soul Train" king was so desperate to get a divorce from his ex-wife Viktoria, that he actually put the following lines in divorce papers he submitted to L.A. County Superior Court:

"I am 72 years old. I have significant health issues. I want to finalize this divorce before I die."

The judge must have seen things Don's way -- the divorce was granted a couple of weeks ago.

'Real Housewife ; Beach tan much?

Wearing a dammed red bikini, "Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel wetted her skinny girl bones in the sun while out on Long Island yesterday.

Bethenny Frankel

If the 38-year-old -- and her fellow "RHONY" cast mates -- don't resolve their salary disputes for the show's next season, she'll have even more time to work on her tan.

Jack A*s Ain't Gonna be Happy ABout This

Donnie Davis was detained at the Broward Mall in Florida last week, after he was caught promoting his upcoming show at the Seminole Coconut Creek for Jeff Beacher's Madhouse without proper permission. There were Alot of little Oompas at the mall at the time -- but Donnie was the only one that didn't get away when cops showed up to bust them.

Donnie was eventually let go without being cited -- but was held long enough for someone to snap that awesome pic.

The $4 Million Deal is False

by Media Pick Up Staff

Debbie Rowe LawyerDebbie Rowe's lawyer Eric George says the story that Rowe won't seek custody of the kids she bore for Michael Jackson in return for a cool $4 million is "completely false."

Eric George told CNN that no deal has been reached. Jackson's legal team said last week they were trying to "amicably resolve" the custody issues with Rowe.

Artie Lange Pleads Not Guilty

Artie Lange just has paled not guilty to driving under the influence.

As we first reported, Lange was arrested on Friday after rear-ending another car in Toms River, NJ. Lange's lawyer says he passed an alcohol screening test after the crash -- but cops thought he was under the influence anyway and requested a urine sample. The results of that test aren't in yet.

Artie is due back in court on Aug. 26.

Christian Bale walks little line

Christian Bale is now frail.

Christian Bale
The 35-year-old -- who famously lost 63 lbs for his role in "The Machinist" and then quickly bulked up for "Batman Begins" -- was spotted in Boston on Monday, once again working the heroin chic gaunt look to play drug addicted boxer Dicky Eklund in his latest film.

Hopefully an apple a day keeps the cinematographer away ... from walking into his scene.
